I'm not sure for the work that I must do on the calipers and the 12mm hole and for the spacer between the hole and the disk...
Are they dangerous or not?

Well I think is not dangerous, but is going to give you a great deal of work.

That’s funny because I thought exactly the same… with this setup the screws attach less than the original, is this god or bad?!?! :?  I really don’t know.

I think isn't bad because the fiesta is more light than a Mondeo, but I didn't understand how we can stop the reduction in the hole! :?:

But here in Portugal there is a Ford dealer who makes the upgrade for the mk4 with the Mondeo’s brake system, 4 discs!  :)
I don’t know the price, but it might be a LOT! I don’t think they install that setup without any kind of security. So I think it’s safe, but I don’t either who have they done it.

yes, they are very secure, but also expensive and no DIY...

Citar

The setup for me will be:
Cossie calipers
260 or 280 ATE discs
Main brake pump  :?:  :?:

Do you have the 15"???I with the 14" can put max the 258mm!
For the main pump, I don't know which is compatible. The Fiesta's pump with ABS??? :?:

The Cossie calipers must be used with the assorted discs... which means you'll have to use ~280 mm rotors (278mm, I think).

Theres no way to work around the diameter difference issue with the Mondeo calipers... there are just 2 choices: you either enlarge the holes on the hub carrier or reduce the ones on the caliper. The 1st is simpler, the 2nd is (supposedly) safer if done correctly. I was about to do the Mondy conversion and I was going for the 1st method because I honestly think that the 2mm aren't going to affect the structural integrity of the hub carrier.

Regarding the master cylinder, most ppl keep the standard one unless they go for rear disc conversions or four pot fronts. Even Rick who has 4 pots at the front and rear discs on his mk3 thinks the standard master cylinder is perfect for the job!

did you use the spacer between the hubs and the disks and between the disks and the wheels?

I didn't do it, I got Zetec S brakes instead. what can I say, I'm lazy ;) But I think you only need spacers between the hub and the disc. Due to the discs offset, the wheel should clear the caliper. I've seen a couple of Mondeos around on standard 4 spoke Fiesta wheels...

Private dump? Dump? Oh Fred, sinto-me quase ofendido... É verdade, vais desistir dos Fiestinhas?
